couldn't there be never ending doppelgangers?

i mean the doppelgangers came from the mirror and then the doppelgangers looked in the mirror as well, so can't other doppelgangers form from the doppelgangers and the mirror break and the doppelganger of the doppelganger come out and kill the doppelganger? never ending cycle
