Totally underrated. Deserves at least 8. Jewel of its kind.

I can't understand why movies far and much worse have higher imdb rating and such GEM has only funny 5.0points.
I can understand why not everyone likes horror-suspence movies, bah.. i can even understand why they don't like Broken movie as much as i do.

But i can't just understand why it has 5.5p and for example "Saw" is 7.7rated.
Are people just bunch of tasteless morons?
I know thats completely different movies, but.. COME ON!

I don't think the movie did anything worth noting. It was just a chain of transparent attempts to make people jump by keeping things eerily quiet and then throwing a loud noise at the audience. There was no motive or backstory established for the antagonist, and the twist was unoriginal and very undramatic(maybe because by that point I really didn't care about the movie anymore).

I don't see why this movie deserves a higher rating. And as sick as many people are of SAW, it still introduced a plot and style that was very intriguing and not overdone.
