Daniel McVey appreciation post (spoilers)

Was I the only one to fall a bit in love with the character of Daniel?

He was a minor character and only had, what, four scenes in the movie? This is true. I didn't even pay him any attention during the dinner scene because it was so early in the movie and there were so many people present.

In the scene when he raced his girlfriend up the stairs, though, I found him sweet. What a dorky, lovable thing to do.

He was attractive, sweet, and funny. A bit of a badass, too, since he managed to avoid being captured by both his doppelgänger self, and his doppelgirlfriend.

He was smart enough to run away when understanding his sister had been taken over/replaced as well, when checking up on her.

All I want now is fan fiction in which he is the leader of an underground resistance force, gathering people in secret, trying to rebel against the doppelgängers. In theory, I'd even enjoy a sequel to the movie featuring a rebellion with him in charge. (But not really, because it'd most likely be extremely stupid and "ruin" the few things the first movie managed to do right.)

Am I the only insane one here? Hm? Any takers?
