Too many unanswered questions as to what or why this is replacement is going on. Whatever is doing it seems to be somehow linked to the broken mirrors, which seem to be breaking all over the place. Are they portal for these doubles? Why are they trying to replace the humans? Is this just a way for them to hide in plain sight? Are they taking over or just seeking a safe place. There's more questions, but you get the idea.
