The Mirror People. They were not the only ones...

I didn't went through all the messages in here, but it seems a lot of people are thinking that Gina and her family are the only victims in the movie...
BUT... I think the reaction of the doctors, as they watch Gina leaving in the car after her refusal to do other exam, is strange. Why would they look at her that way, by the window? Like if she was ''special'' or something.
There is also the asian guy talking about his wife.
And finaly, there's this old woman in the subway, looking at people and saying ''No, no'', and then ''He's one'' to a guy, like if he was one of the evil mirror people, etc...
So I suppose they are not the only ones being victim of the Mirror People.

I think you are correct. It was clearly happening around London. Near the end, when Gina is looking ta her x-ray and it shows that her heart is on the wrong side, the other tech remarks with surprise that it's "another one." So they were seeing the phenomenon more and more.

I think they watched her strangely because they were mirror people but also knew she was one and she was unaware of it..they would have seen that her brain was in reverse.

You also forgot the dog.

In the junkyard there is a moment when Gina is sitting in her car and has just picked up the photo of her father and her.

In the background you hear the sound of glass breaking and then she looks up to see two identical dogs. One is clearly attacking the other.

Whatever "demons" are on the other side of the mirror, they seem to be coming out more and more, although whatever would make one want to copy a dog is beyond me.

Spoiler Ahead

Why didn't the old woman on the train say that Gina was one of the mirror people instead of just standing there staring at her?
And the Asian man who was talking about his wife - this looked like a nod to the 1978 version of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS as there is a similar scene in that movie.

It's possible that Gina's as yet unawareness of her origins confused the old woman & made her difficult to identify.

Also think the dogs weren't necessarily doppelgängers, but two similar dogs fighting it out. There is so much ambivalence in the tone of the film that it would make sense to show that not all things that are similar are mirror images.

There was an older Asian man named Harry around the 48 minute mark. His wife was a dopple.
