This movie would have gotten one extra plus for an altered ending...

If Kate wasn't the one torching the only cool guy in the movie, but rather the cool guy who isn't the main character torches her for being the last thing, then that would have by far brought some extra things to the table and made it an ending worth watching. The way it is, this ending just feels like a middle finger. Especially because the main character is so boring and uncharismatic. Who the hell wants to see her survive anyways? Killing her off, we would have at least been able to say "Wow, at least the movie had the balls to kill its main character. Cudos."

She had absolutely no personality outside of being super serious and courageous and brave and perfect in every possible way. Even guy heroes are boring when they're like Kate. Kate was ass.

LOL, I actually thought that Lars, Jameson, Edvard (before he transformed), and Peder were all pretty cool as well.

that would be a nice twist. i also wish she didn't realize she was a thing and was genuinely terrified to find her earrings were gone
