In the first movie Stone Cold(second in time sequence); Jesse gives Reggie(Joe the Dog) to Candace Pennington to take care of. In the Death in Paradise,and Sea Change, Jesse now has the dog and no mention of Candace Pennington. Maybe the folks writing the scripts liked Joe the Dog(Reggie) and wanted that character to remain in the stories
