Does anyone know where this series was filmed?

Thank you.

More specifically, the town used for Paradise is mostly Lunenburg (world heritage site) with bits of Halifax thrown in. The shallow grave scene was out around Peggy's Cove, and Jesse's house is somewhere on the South Shore.

Beautifully filmed, isn't it?

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for your reply to my query.Yes,it was beautifully filmed, which is what made me ask for the filming location in the 1st place. The original reply just said "Nova Scotia",which I thought was interesting as my maternal great grandmother was born in Nova Scotia(altho' I don't know where).I'm glad you gave me more specific details.I'm an American who's lived in Britain for 36 years &,altho' I have visited Canada(Quebec & Ontario),I've never been to Nova Scotia.I hope to rectify this some time in the future!

Hi, madmod, and you're welcome. We moved in opposite directions. I'm a Brit now living in NS. It is very beautiful here - a haunting landscape. Well worth a visit, especially around September time. It's always lovely at that time of year.

Dear Sarah(& I'm assuming that's your name from your username),
Yes,I did think it was very beautiful from the films(I've since seen another Jesse Stone film;I think there's 4 altogether in the series.),& I'm sure it's gorgeous in the autumn(fall!).I'm from New England originally & we had the beautiful leaf changes, too, but in Oct.
Where in Britain are you from,if you don't mind my asking?I live in East Anglia which is very much like New England,as far as placenames & culture are concerned---it's a lot flatter, tho'! A lot of Massachusetts(my home state)was settled by East Anglians,so that probably accounts for why I've always felt at home here.
I just wish when I was younger,I had paid more sttention to my Mom's stories of where her grandparents were from. Both of my parents are deceased now &,when I went through my Mom's belongings in 2007,I couldn't find her grandmother's birth certificate from Nova Scotia, which she had shown me so many years before.Unfortunately,by the time I became interested in our family's geneology,my Mom had Alzheimer's.
I hope you're enjoying living in N.S. as much as I'm enjoying living in Suffolk.
All the best,
Mary(the mad mod!)

Too bad it is so dreary there, all year long.
