Boys and Girls. (S05, E03). Charlie's and 'ATM'
Charlie's supposed to be a porn expert. He refers to A2M as ATM though...

share???????
shareOkay, this shouldn't be explained on IMDb. It's gonna get censored. But A2M means Ass to Mouth, while ATM is rather just for money withdrawal. Okay, have fun deleting this, but the guy was nonplussed.
shareYou're wrong.
I've never heard A2M, just ATM. Must be a regional thing.
My source was the impeccable Hustler magazine, as American as could be, and Urban Dictionary backs me up, just checked. This subject now closed.
shareI have never seen it written. When it's spoken, it's ATM - and the T stands for 'to' so ATM makes more sense than A2M.
Okay, people, let's just change the subject huh? I should have kept my trap shut. Let's talk about better things. Like why they dropped the CALIFORNICATION spin-off FAITH, starring Maggie Grace, cancelling it before filming even started.
shareThat could be an interesting spin off but it seems like it would be hard to film. I don't think there has ever been a TV show about a professional groupie before. There's been books and movies and songs, but not a show.
Faith wasn't a groupie, she was a muse. Like, groupies have sex with their idols, but a muse provided inspiration for those idols... Like, groupies hang out at the stars, but the stars come to the muse...
The character of Faith was one hell of a lady. Mostly, OF COURSE, because she was played by Maggie Grace. Who is one of my favorites. So I am not getting bogged down here discussing muses and groupies and teenage promiscuity and such without admitting that I'm just simply in total awe of the Grace of Maggie. She provided class to the part, a class that only one other female cast member could match, Natascha McElhone, as Karen. Therefore, even if Maggie had been cast as Cruella Deville, with legs like that, I'd have rooted for her!
ALMOST FAMOUS (2000), though not a commercial success, but with cult status, touched on the subject. And, in fact, the episode with Hank and Charlie aboard Atticus's plane AirForce 69 caught in the electrical storm, is strongly inspired by ALMOST FAMOUS.
But you are right. No shows about groupies. TV shows tend to be more family-oriented, okay, cable has changed that a long time ago already, but TV is a guest in the home where Moms rule, and there are very few shows like CALIFORNICATION prancing about. Sponsors and ad revenue have to be taken into account.
But what I really am on about is that Maggie Grace was terrific as Faith. For my sake, the proposed TV series could have been about a girl who used to hang out in groupie circles. In other words, not necessarily explicit. Hell, I'd still have been interested. Faith was the center of Season 6.
So, groupie, or muse, whatever, I'm sure they had wonderful ideas in mind. It certainly would have been controversial, coming from the people who brought us CALIFORNICATION.
As for 'hard to film', these guys did CALIFORNICATION. Maybe the main problem was Maggie the movie star in the TAKEN franchise off to much bigger things than a little cable TV show bound to catch flak from the Religious Right...
