Seriously f--k Levon.
Basically ruined the 7th season. The 7th season is pretty bad either way but he made it horrendous.

shareJust finished binge watching the series. Agreed, Season 7 is a disaster; only had a glimmer of its former self by about the 10th ep.
Hated Levon's character. Wish Becca had been in most of the season.
I'm still on the binge, ep9 of s7. I hope the last few eps are decent.
shareUgh. As annoying as Levon was, I'd take 10 of him over one Becca. Becca makes me want to jump off a bridge.
shareYou know a season is bad and that the "Levon"-character is awful, if you wish for Becca to return.
shareI think it was retarded how he accepted Levon so quickly considering how he reacted in the 2cd season when he was told he was the father of the unborn baby.
shareYeah exactly! I have no idea what went through the writers heads during this, they could have adult fixed this season by removing Levon and just focusing on Karen and Hank and maybe Becca and that's all. Kevin feels like a sub-sub-plot and doesn't add anything to the show other then a stupid annoying character.
shareI've thought about this and they should have taken a completlely different route with Levon, while perhaps redeeming the whole show which is basically a trainwreck by S7.
The whole point is to get Hank to stop being a **** up ***hole, there needs to be a motivator. Clearly, it isn't Karen or Becca or anyone else on the show. They aren't enough for him. Then go back to Hank's father.
They should have made Levon BETTER than Hank. Every bit his equal in writing and talent and looks. But Levon would have been a good man, just like the Elton John song says; he would have been what Hank could have been if Hank wasn't squandering everything he's ever been given. Have him have a stellar manuscript and have been caring for his addict mother who should die, who Hank abandoned yet still never knew about Levon and have him light the fire that Hank needed. Show us that Hank needed a positive role model and make it his son that raised himself and became more because he was WITHOUT Hank's influence.
Then, in true Californication form, have Levon overdose as he was trying to numb the pain of his mother's death. Have Hank finish his son's book and publish it as his most optimistic and redemptive novel ever, which in turn redeems Hank who wants to honor his son's memory.
End with scene of Hank, Levon and Lew in the bar.
Roll series credits.
I like your ending better^
shareHey look, it actually was possible to not make season 7 a disaster. Much better ending and much better Levon.
