Would you want a Jesse spin-off?

I would, but not until Aaron Paul is like 50 years old. It would be more interesting to see the character older and the same age as Walt at the start of Breaking Bad rather than immediately after the events of season 5.

Yes a sequel when hes 50. So like 10 years from now.

I dont know what kind of story you could do with a Jesse spin off. Best case scenario for him after bb is starting a new life off the radar because he'd likely have to live in hiding. Not sure there's a lot of potential for a spin off but I do kinda hope they show what happened to him eventually on bcs.

I'm sure good writers could think of something for him, but without Walt I dont know how many people would care lol

Better Call Saul is a prequel, so it's pretty much all one big flashback. I don't want a Jesse flashback though because all due respect to Aaron Paul but he can't pull off being in his teens/early-20s - BCS is set in 2002, probably 2003 by now, so Jesse would be 18/19. He was already a bit old for Jesse by the end of Breaking Bad (although in the first 3 seasons he looked really young.) So if Jesse ever appears it'd have to be post-Breaking Bad. I do wish when they will eventually show some/more of Saul's life post-BB that he'd just randomly run into Jesse or hear that he's in prison or whatever (I don't think that would necessarily be so bad for Jesse, provided that he doesn't end up in maximum security or isolation.)

Jesse's my favorite character (not just of Breaking Bad but of any TV show ever) so I'd love to know what happened to him, but I wouldn't want an entire spin-off. I'd just get anxious if we got tons of Jesse on the run and stressing about getting caught all the time. Because I doubt he'll ever live freely without looking over his shoulder all the time, which is one reason I don't think going to prison would be so bad. He could get a reduced sentence due to having worked with the DEA although it didn't turn out so good, and due to sympathy about his enslavement. Killing Gale was the worst thing he did and he would have to be sentenced for that, but I doubt anyone cares about the guy he shot in Mexico or about Todd who had unlawfully imprisoned him, forced him to cook meth, and tortured him.

Do you even know what honor is?

Not to mention gale also being a criminal in the drug trade. In the eyes of the powers that be, they probably wouldn't see it as necessarily a bad thing that a meth producer was killed. They'd probably look at it as a good thing having one less meth cook on the street, not to say they'd look the other way in terms of serving Jesse his sentence, but it might grant him some leniency when the court was making their decision.

He'd still have to be held accountable though regardless. With all of Jesse's mental problems i.e. depression and likely some ptsd, I could see him being sent to a psychological treatment center of some sort as opposed to prison. Who knows though

I haven't watched better call saul, but I heard before the show started they would show flashbacks. That hasn't happened I guess.

The flashbacks have all been in Jimmy (Saul Goodman) McGill's past, as has the primary action in BCS.

Each season of BCS has opened with a "present day," B&W scene featuring Gene, Saul's new alias, managing a Cinnabon in Omaha, NE, which he foreshadowed to Walt in BrBa "Granite State." There has been rampant speculation about the re-emergence of Jesse in the "present" of BCS, which would be sometime during or after the events of "Granite State."

Well, Jesse would definitely be a wanted fugitive, possibly on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list as a suspect/accessory to the killings of everyone at Jack's compound and also probably in the death of Andrea Cantillo. He would have to go off-grid completely to avoid being caught. I don't know if Jesse has that ability.

If there is a spinoff, it would have to start in the moments after he leaves Jack's place. Jesse was driving manically and managed to escape just before the cops responded to shots fired at the compound, so we have to assume that he avoided capture. Where he'd go after that is anyone's guess. There are a lot of miles between Jesse and anywhere he could go to escape the reach of the FBI, so getting there would almost have to be a major focus of the first season of any show about Jesse's post BrBa life.

Personally, I think that Jesse's story is done.

If Jesse had better taste in music ... maybe.

A Superman without trunks isn't worth watching or reading about.
