Gale's Money

So it's safe to assume that Gale was making the same amount as Walt during his tenure at Fring enterprises yet it's never even hinted as to how he laundered it. I don't recall his money being a subject after his murder either which doesn't really make much sense. A single 30orso year old would be under more scrutiny regarding a questionable income then a middleaged family man with dependents. Perhaps Gus laundered his money through the restaurant or dry cleaning business but it'd still seem hard to explain how a fast food worker/cleaner is making that much. Not to mention that Gus would be likely to distance himself from Gale's personal affairs no matter his affection for him. I don't doubt Gale was smart enough to handle it all on his own, I just wonder how he would've gone about it. Any thoughts? My guess would be he owned some sort of herb shop

Untaxed, under-the-table cash income is virtually undetectable unless you A. deposit it into a bank, B. invest it in a publicly traded stock or other commodity, C. make large cash purchases in a public place where people/shop owners witness it. Basically, not leaving a paper trail would have kept Gale from going under the IRS microscope.

Also, maybe Gale was on the payroll of Los Pollos or Madrigal, as a "consultant."

Makes sense.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

That is a good point that we never learn what he did with his money. Maybe APB never learned what he did with it to kick it back to a DEA investigation.

If Gale wasn't doing this long, I can see him sticking the money in storage and not getting to laundering it yet. Speaking about how much he made... I was always curious by that. With Jesse coming on and Walt spliting his money with him, what was supposed to be Gale's income got to be kept by Gus!
