Trivia Questions

At the end of "Gliding Over All", what are Hank and Walt discussing in general out back at the table before Hank goes to the bathroom? Not specifically, as we know it moves into brewing Schraderbrau, but before that which leads to the idea? What are they discussing originally?

What photograph do you see Hank pull out in "Blood Money" while he is reviewing the Gale/Heisenberg case in his garage that you never would have known he has, as a form of investigative evidence? It is only a very split second you see it, and it's hard to believe he actually has a photograph of it because it was never mentioned before that he had the evidence...

reply

Without cheating...believe this is when they are discussing the irony of Hank getting into the mineral hobby.

Not sure about the photos...there were many. Believe they included one of Victors sketch and the sketch of Heisenberg, among others.

How about this one...when do you see Walt promote Isotopes?

reply

Thanks for playing fairly. Unfortunately, that is incorrect. Those photos are the more obvious ones. There is one photo in there that is really surprising and had never been revealed Hank had the evidence of.

And for the first one, you are on the right track. The minerals were discussed too just prior to Schraederbrau, but the general concept of the conversation, what started it. (note: the reason why it's so hard is because Marie and Skyler are both talking over them simultaneously and it's hard to make out what they're saying.)

Isotopes, I'd take a wild guess and say at the start of season 3 somewhere. I'll guess Negro y Azul or 737.

reply

OK, so now had to check, but not sure I'll have what you're referring to...

For the conversation, they start by talking about hobbies and collections - baseball cards, beer cans, etc. Then move on to talk about the brewing process.

Photos that are shown, that either we haven't seen before, or we don't see revealed to Hank before, include:

- Combo as a kid (in folder next to the one showing him shot).
- The chicken laying complex, which they never got to, when Hank decided to have Walt take him to the laundry instead.
- Dead guy on desert sand - believe it's Gonzo.
- Mike - shot from above, likely from prison cam.
- Tyrus...would have been obtained after found dead.

Expect it has to be one of these, though can't recall when he saw the Heisenberg sketch.

I'll go with...Gonzo. We knew he found the other guy with his arms stuck, but we never saw the photo of Gonzo, taken from the junkyard.

For the Isotopes reference...hint - it is unspoken, in S2.

reply

Yes. Very good. They begin talking about "collections"- coins, baseball cards, etc..It always impressed me that scene how natural Walt and Hank converse, very realistic.

As for the other one, you have some really good ones, and some of them would have to count, but there's not the one specifically the question is about. This is a very hard question as it is shown for a split second and only at about half of the screen.

For the isotopes, I'm going to take a wild guess and say either Breakage, Peekaboo, or ABQ.

reply

Duane Chow, shot on his couch? Know he was on his suspect board (with all the connections), but not sure we see anything about Hank finding him.

Natural backyard scene was so calm, with the steady drip of a hose, wind chimes, trivial conversation...just to loll you to a sense of security, that all worked out fine...until Walt took a dump...

Isotopes - looks like you have no clue on this one. Will give you the episode - Better Call Saul.

reply

Ah, that's right. When he goes in to visit Saul for the first time! Mr. Mayhew- the hat. Good one.

No, one more hint- it's not a person, it's a thing (and not Hank's cup he took from Los Pollos Hermanos).

reply

OK, things...

- Gale's record collection.
- Crime scene gun.
- Hector's Baptism certificate.

The records and certificate were likely new. I'll say - certificate...so we now know Hector was baptized.

Other things seen...

- He was a fan of Delbert (shirt).
- He also has a snow shovel in the garage...can't expect that got used too much.
- His Schraderbrau label is likely a mirror image, as his watch and ring are on his right hand in the label (major plot hole, if this means he was out cheating on Marie).

reply

Gales Crime Scene photo.

reply

Good guess, and that is one of them, but they revealed Hank knew about that, and that was one of the more obvious photos. There is a photo in there that it had never been revealed Hank knew anything about or had any information on.
