1. Walt laughing histerically as the camera pulls back in Crawl Space
2. The ending of Granite State when we see the dimple pinch, Walt gone, police searching outside the bar and the music kicks in.
These aren't the actual payoff scenes, that you'll later get in Face Off & Felina, but they were two scenes that you sat back the first time and said "whoa" and couldn 't wait for the next episode.

That scene is outstanding. I love that they never used the Breaking Bad theme in an episode proper before, so it felt all the more powerful in that one.
I'd love to watch End Times and Face Off again without knowing Walt poisoned Brock. But that's difficult to consider any "one scene" because it resonates throughout the whole of season 5.
So I guess I'll go with
1. the scene where Jesse barges in to the Whites' house to burn it down. That was so tense and I loved the music. And
2. the drive to To'hajiilee in, well, To'hajiilee. It's one of my favorites scenes of the show, maybe the favorite. It's shot wonderfully, and hearing Walt confess to Jesse to poisoning Brock and talking about everything he killed was so intense. And Jesse calling Walt Walt rather than Mr. White was monumental. (I do remember he called him Walt once before, in an earlier season, but I can't remember which scene it was.)

Can't recall, but I'll bet that during the first watch, that many people (myself included) never realized what was meant by the opening scene, when Walt spins his gun and they zoom in on the Lily of the Valley. By the time that was revealed to be the poison, at the end of Face Off, likely forgot about it and probably only put it together on rewatch.

1) Gus takes out cartel and pukes himself while walking out of bathroom with camera behind him. Salud. --> dgl93743
1. Ditto as above. IMO the defining scene of Breaking Bad. Showed the extremes Gus was willing to go to.*
2. Prelude to the main face off scene. The director gives us just a few seconds (along with Gus of course) to analyse what Walt's plan had been, and what was going to happen. (Ep: Face Off)
* edit This scene gave me the creeps and somehow reminded me of the ending scene of The Godfather just before the door was closed after Michael had lied to Kaye, and Kaye realizing that Michael was no longer Michael.
Even though I saw it coming before my first viewing of the episode, "Walt kills Mike." The animosity between the two characters had been building since they first met and the payoff was amazing.
The phone call scene. You know which one I mean. "You're never going to see Hank again."
There are so many scenes, but two that got me were: 1. Walt turning the tables on Mike. Calling Jesse telling him he had had a 20 minute lead on getting to Gale; to kill him to ensure his survival. The look on Mikes face as Walt recites Gales address and straightens his jacket, knowing full well he just got f'd. I was literally jumping off the couch. 2. Not a tense pivotal moment, but when Walt comes home with his new sweet ride. Revs the engine and looks at Walt Jr. in his plain PT Cruiser. Cut to: returning home again, now Jr has his lost dream car back. The father and son, two tortured souls, revving their cars together. There was something so right and beautiful. Funny. Awesome. Why was I tearing up?
I really want to cheat and just say the entirety of "Ozymandias", but I won't. I will name two scenes from the episode, though - the "We're a family" scene with the Walt/Skyler fight, and Walt's phone call to Skyler.
Walt running down those two dealers, I remember the first time I saw that, think I jumped off the couch to cheer for Walt! Lol
And when Gus poisons the cartel guys, such an amazing and unpredictable scene...and so badass!
Gus getting blown up was definitely insane too, the buildup as hes walking towards the seniors home, the music, the sound when he pushes that chair closer to too, the look on both of their faces when Gus realizes its a trap...so tense!
Crawl Space - When Walt thought his whole family was over after his only way out without a face off was taken away. Disturbing i didn't know what Walt would do next. Face off- Gus Frings last moments and his entire empire being destroyed, then showing how Walt got Jessie on his side and how he won. (Realise this is 3 scenes in one but they are some of the best and most unpredictable of the show
