If you're smart, then you're a loser with no social skills.

That's science, according to this fucking show.

NO...THAT ISNT IT AT ALL.

So wrong!

Except for Sheldon, they had the social skills needed to thrive at Cal Tech and ComicCon and other places they wanted to be, and all of them including Sheldon got better at mainstream social skills as the series progressed. And they weren't losers by any stretch of the imagination, they all had their dream jobs, earned good money, indulged in expensive hobbies, had smart and attractive SOs, space shuttle trip, Nobel Prize, etc. Sure, they whined about being misfits or not getting the girls, but less and less as the series went on. After a few years, even Leonard said that he'd realized he wasn't a loser with women after all, and he was the most inclined to whine.

No, the moral of the series is that if you're really smart and really nerdy, you can have everything you want.

Nicely put! 👍 I love this show.

The show is about 4 people, bro.

Not to mention, the character development is pretty in-depth. It would have to be to last 12 seasons.

No, this is a show about *this* group of smart people who have befriended each other because they have similar social skills which really is how most friends find each other.

If you paid attention, there were more brilliant characters featured in this show who are socially adept than were not.
