Can anyone tell me what happened?

Tareq and Juliette go to see the pyramids despite the fact that Mark (Juliette's husband)has asked her many times to wait until he comes back to Cairo. It's obvious there is a strong connection between Tareq and Juliette by this time but it appears not to be physical. When Mark comes back she goes with him to the pyramids and doesn't tell him she's been. The last look she has of Tareq is from a elevator as she is saying goodbye. There is pain in both their faces - the pain of unrequited love.

if you like complicated romance, you're gonna love this movie. Although there are a lot of big mistakes, and you shouldn't be learning most of what they say about Egypt, but it is an awesome movie.
