Great film
A film worthy of being called the best Canadian film of the year. Alex Siddig and Patricia Clarkson were phenomenal.
Hopefully this gets the attention it deserves.

Yes I like Patricia's acting...guess I'll check it out since u someone who sounds sane reviews it as a worthy watch ;)
A breath of fresh air. Beautifully written directed and acted.
shareyes it is a lovely film that remains unpretentious but keenly delivers all it suggests. of course, the ending will disappoint me forever but that is because i have watched too many films that, for safety's sake, have expected and fulfilling conclusions.

Yep, the ending kills me. It makes sense in a way and yet it doesn't, considering my expectations. Still, I loved this movie to bits. Such a great experience...

Without a doubt the best North American film of the year thus far, not just "best Canadian film of the year". It's the best new film that I've seen since A Serious Man.

Loved the film. Incredible cinematography and a fine look into Egyptian daily life. Somewhat slow paced and a little melancholy but it holds your attention; you feel like you're in Egypt. Beautiful acting. A film for adults.

Yes!
This is a love story for grownups, who know a look when they see it, or can read between the lines, and do NOT need every little thing explained to (and for) them.
Clarkson always is good. Maybe her fans are spoilt, eh?
The more Ken Loach films I try to see, the more I think they need subtitles!
