DVD features

I'm looking at purchasing the DVD when it comes out. I know it is already released in Canada and I was wondering if anyone who has purchased it can tell me whether or not it has English subtitles or closed captioning.

I am hard of hearing and knowing it had that would greatly improve my viewing experience.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

It has actually already been released on DVD in Canada which is where I was thinking of ordering it from.

I found when I lived there that their movies are not always closed captioned or subtitled which is why I was enquiring.

The DVD I have seems to be the original one distributed in Canada by Mongrel Media and it does NOT have closed captioning. There only were captions when the characters were speaking Arabic, which wasn't very often. I'm not hard of hearing and I still missed having the captions, so I think you're right to wait for a version that has it. There's another DVD version available that has additional extra features, including a film festival Q&A and an alternate ending, that my version doesn't have, so it's possible it also has the closed captioning as well. The only extra features my version has are a commentary track, a "making of" featurette, and trailer.

My copy has a French subtitle track only and a approximately seven minute long making of feature.

This is the one I have:

But honestly, unless you need the subtitles, they would just distract from the film which is gorgeous.
