Very creepy and legitimately scary with that dirty indie feel to it.
Not sure what more you can ask for from a psychologically based horror film.
It beats the hell out of films like "The Grudge", "Slither", and similar modern films that use special effects as a crutch.
I have to agree about it being creepy as hell. I thought it was well made, looked good and built up some good tension. I think most people were expecting the usual, but got something a little different.

I liked it a lot, too. It's really scary and creepy in a visceral sense, even with it's gory moments.

I agree, it was very effective. I don't know why it's got such a low rating, but then again rampant stupidity on the Internet shouldn't surprise anyone anymore.
shareI liked it too and I had already read many of the negative reviews, when I got done i said hey, this was pretty good. It was so stressful and I kept being busy so, for me at any rate I watched it over some days, so I missed a bit of continuity. I thought that Eve was a great seductress, felt bad for Amber, liked the new girl and really thought the blonde was a bit of a witch but... as some have pointed out was it Mary who was infecting all or was it something beyond their cabin as well? Also weird the cars that brought them there would not start later. I give it a thumbs up I have def seen worse.
sharetotally agree - unlike a lot of other amazingly high rated crap of the same genre this was actually good - far from amazing but good... it was scary and it was neither clicheé nor stupid. The ending was cheesy and sort of weak but that's about it. Everything else was just fine.
It gets rated down for reasons like "no famous actor".
I guess most, people don't just consider any mediocre junk to be downright amazing if it's from or with somebody they happen to like. While a normal good thing gets rated bashed if it lacks the faces and names.
