I was just coming here to post that! I can't wait, this is probably now my most anticipated upcoming game!

Haha, I was coming here to post that too, but I'm too late.
I'm sooo excited, can't wait to hear some more info! I'm glad that Shawn Lee is composing again, loved the soundtrack of the first game.
You beat me to it too!
Hopefully Bully 2 will be an enduring legacy and a worthy sequel to the first game.
Who can take you higher than a twin peak mountain blue?
My hope is that Rockstar keeps the atmosphere that the first game had. I might be in the minority but I felt one of the things that hurt GTA 4 was that it took itself so seriously when compared to the tone of GTA San Andreas. Don't get me wrong, I liked GTA 4, but it didn't live up to San Andreas.
Oh well, I trust Rockstar. Hiring Shawn Lee to do the score again is a great sign.
I agree. I also hope they keep the style and feel of the original Bully. For instance, if they brought the next game to a public school and introduced new groups like goths and gangstas it would totally go against the time-warped principal the first game had (with cliques such as the greasers). I also hope the graphics update doesn't interfere with the cartoon zaniness of the first one.
shareTrue, I think making the graphics too realistic might take away from the game - I honestly didn't like the xbox360 version, it was a little too shiny just for the sake of being shiny. Just my opinion, of course.
shareI agree. I think they should use a new character as well, to prevent it from becoming too much like GTA (people would want older Jimmy to drive etc)

Yes, a whole new character and a whole new story, to keep it fresh - but there's gotta be references to the first game or even cameo appearances!
shareYou and me are on the exact same page. GTA games have always been known to keep the atmosphere and color filters to their truest form. San Andreas is still my favorite GTA game..I can't believe I bought into the gta4 hype..that game was good until I finished it..it just got boring after that..where are all the fun side missions, clothing stores and food chains that San Andreas had...there will be no other like San Andreas..Bully is on par with San Andreas IMO. The atmosphere is flawless. Even though I don't know what country it's set in, I like to think it's a small rural town in London, England. Ugh, I just love the feel of that game. The cliche's are fun, the mini-games are fun, and attending or skipping school is fun. I'm never selling San Andreas or Bully..those are collectors items..such fun games..in fact, now it makes me wanna boot it up in my ps3...and I'm so *beep* happy for the Bully 2 news.

I read somewhere that the game is set in New England.
shareHurrah for this post =D
If I seem a little strange, well, that's because I am :)

CHLOE
She invited Chloe into her life, her home, her marriage. Big mistake.
keep Jimmy!!
I have been waiting for this news for a long time. Bully 1 was so awesome. I hope Jimmy can drive and stuff. I really hope Bullworth town is expanded and Jimmy can go to other towns etc.
Also I hope it is released on PS2 again.
"Well, there's only one thing for it let's fire up the Quattro".
I don't think it would work with an older Jimmy.
No. I hope that Jimmy/the new character doesn't drive. It's Bully, not Grand Theft Auto.
That's doubtful. If they did it would be a crap port (look at Mercenaries 2!)

I'd like to see a senior year Jimmy driving a car, lots of high school seniors do drive, but they could mix it up from GTA by making you have to follow the rules of the road more stringently, obeying traffic lights and such.
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room!"
A music composer making a slip of the tounge mistake is not "offical".
Also seeing as that rumor wa from 208 and still nothing, not even a hint of Bully 2 now in 2010...just goes to prove my point.
It's not "offical" until Rockstar say so...not a secondary music composer.
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.
It wasn't from 2008 (which is what I'm going to assume you meant by "208") it was from 2009.
Rockstar is notoriously tight lipped about divulging the news regarding their projects, so not hearing a word about it in less than a years time is really not unusual. Especially when you consider they had Red Dead Redemption to promote (along with DLC for GTA4) and still are promoting the upcoming releases of LA Noir and the new Max Payne. We likely won't hear more news about the Bully sequel until after Max Payne is released and maybe not until after LA Noir.
Maybe not official for the pedantic but for the rest of us this news is enough for celebration.
I thought R* were done with GTA IV? Unless you mean the DLC packs for Red Dead.
Who can take you higher than a twin peak mountain blue?
Still celebrating? :-)
