I miss this game...

It was a creative, brilliant, and amazing game that got unnecessarily snubbed by its owners in favor of yet another virtual manifestation highlighting gratuitous violence, blood, gang activity, and sex. No offense to GTA4 fans, but after about 5 games, the franchise began to bore me.
But this game was a diamond-in-the-rough. Memorable and unique characters, entertaining storylines, gameplay, and schoolyard pranks we all remember from our grade school days made this game an enjoyable experience! My only gripe with this game was that it was too short... I didn't want to stop playing! Eventually, the summer free play lost it's luster and after replaying the story mode three times, it was time to put it back on the shelf.
I was hoping and praying for a sequel, but all that seemed to be on RockStar's mind was GTA4... AND NOTHING ELSE!
Eventually, the game came out for 360 and I was compelled to buy it 3 months after it's release. The reason I did this was because I heard about bugs in the release. When I payed the 50 bucks for the game, I had hoped that Rockstar fixed it, but the bugs were there! The game amazingly improved on the PS2 version in terms of graphics, but it would occasionally freeze, show minor glitches in the movements, sound clips were misplaced at parts, the tattoo parlor was screwed up to the point of not being able to use it, and the controls, especially in the new music class, were prone to malfunction!
My friend, who doesn't own a PS2, Wii, or 360, bought the game for computer and the crashes were gratuitous. He found that he was totally unable to make it past chapter 2 because it just kept crashing during missions! And the biggest punch in the gut is that RockStar apparently doesn't care! There exists NO patch for that game! So he gave up on it!
Like the title says, I miss this game... It was a fun and enjoyable experience that was much too short. I hope one day that RockStar will expand their horizons and bring us a much-deserved sequel to this game!
Anyway, I made this post WAY too long. lol, so what do you think?

I think it's shocking that gamers are not prepared to play one of the smartest games ever! This game never gets old to me, it's always a hoot to shoot a prefect in the back of the head with a catapult, then trying to escape while giggling uncontrollably.

I agree. I would like to see what happened to Jimmy in the future.

I agree with both of you.
I find it disheartening that FPS has taken over the gaming world while amazing games like this one and the Fable games take backseats to them (That is, if the majority of gamers happen to notice them).
Remember how much hype there was for Halo I, II, and III? Call of Duty? Gears of War? Rainbow Six? RE5? (which, IMHO, has survived much too long... I personally stopped playing the games after CV) What did this game have? A few randomly placed commercials and an X-play review (which scored it 5 out of 5, btw). Heck, I saw more commercials for Scholarship Edition than the original PS2 version!
GTA is a household name, why isn't this game? It certainly deserves it! It deserves its own series! Yet RockStar treats it like a financial failure... why?

It's sales were mediocre. It came out at the wrong time, it should have been an Easter Game instead of even trying to compete with the latest chav racer/Bald Space Marine Simulator.

I have to admit, I am a young school teacher who was born into the "gamers" generation. Rockstar games has kicked out some of my favorite titles, and this one was no different. I had some trepidation before purchasing it, but I figured, "What the hell" and gave it a shot.

Little did I know that the game would be one of the most memorable I would have ever come to play! I think what I enjoyed about it so much was the deep, and twisted storylines. I loved the variety of missions, the locations, all of the collectibles, the school yard pranks, fighting with each of the school yard factions, and just the sheer fun of exploring the world.

I do plan to replay this game sometime when I have at least a few days off to sit and enjoy it all over again.

Do not let the school theme fool you, this is a good game.

I got gta 4 for Christmas, and Bully is better in my opinion. People think its weird that I play Bully, instead of playing with my X-Box 360.
