Brad Pitt was phenomenal
all scenes with Pitt/Chad are fantastic
shareHe was great. So dimwitted. Not mentally slow, or stupid, just dimwitted, and it didn't bother him one bit.
I love when he's in the car trying to glare at Osborne to appear more menacing.
He was easily the most interesting character in the film.
sharehaha i agree! I wasn't expecting his character to be so goofy because ive never really seen brad anything but serious in a film (with the exception of fight club i guess)
I would love to see brad do more comedies, he's hilarious!
Check out 12 Monkeys ;)

I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long
I recommend Snatch.

Overacting.
shareI'd REALLY like to shake John Malkovich's hand for punching Brad Pitt in the nose - it's something I've ALWAYS wanted to do, for any number of reasons.
sharePitt has never been on my top list (while Malcovich has) but he rocked this movie. He wasn't overacting, that was the whole point of the movie. It's a satire...everyone IN the movie was exaggerating their character "types", to the extreme. I enjoyed everyone in this movie but Pitt had to be my favorite.
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.
I first noticed Pitt's flair for comedy in the serial killer movie SE7EN (i think it was called) The Morgan Freeman character told him to read Dante's Divine Comedy and he goes and gets a paperback of the book and then has a knock down drag out fight with the author and the book while sitting inside a locked car. he couldn't put the numbers together as to what the book had to do with the case studies and went crazy on the book and the messenger. It was hilarious

versionfiv - Thank you for taking the time to go to youtube, look that up, and link it in here like you did. That was sweet of you. I seemed to recall the clip being longer .. but I only seen it once so it's probably just me. Pitt has an unusual gift to play the clutzy fool.

I think he found a role closest to his true nature.
shareAgreed. Absolutely hilarious. Especially his dancing, glaring, and 'not until you give us the money d1ckwad!'
Coen's - write another movie for Chad and Linda.
And check out True Romance, he's funny in that too.
'then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest, wiiiiiiiiiiiiith.........a HERRING!'
Please don't write another movie for Chad and Linda. They are the weakest and most inane characters in the film. The best reviewers themselves agree with this. I would watch a film that focused on Osbourne and Katie Cox but that's about it. The idea of making Linda Litzke the plot driver doomed this film to obscurity (for all but hard core Coens fans).
I don't disagree that McDormand and Pitt play their characters well. They do. But the characters themselves are plot killers.
Brad Pitt was good along with a lot of the other actors but the film did not gel.
Its that man again!!
I agree Prism. Something about trying to connect fitness instructors with Federal agency types. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it seemed so labored and too many rules had to be broken to achieve their plot.
shareI thought he was ok. But it was clear he was acting. That's all I saw. Brad Pitt acting like a dimwitted dipstick. But I guess that's the type of movie it was, just entertainment. And he did act rather well, but I didn't see him disappear into the character.

I agree. I generally like him in most movies, but he wasn't anywhere near the best part of this film.
