He was great. So dimwitted. Not mentally slow, or stupid, just dimwitted, and it didn't bother him one bit.
I love when he's in the car trying to glare at Osborne to appear more menacing.
He was easily the most interesting character in the film.

sharePitt has never been on my top list (while Malcovich has) but he rocked this movie. He wasn't overacting, that was the whole point of the movie. It's a satire...everyone IN the movie was exaggerating their character "types", to the extreme. I enjoyed everyone in this movie but Pitt had to be my favorite.
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.
I first noticed Pitt's flair for comedy in the serial killer movie SE7EN (i think it was called) The Morgan Freeman character told him to read Dante's Divine Comedy and he goes and gets a paperback of the book and then has a knock down drag out fight with the author and the book while sitting inside a locked car. he couldn't put the numbers together as to what the book had to do with the case studies and went crazy on the book and the messenger. It was hilarious

Please don't write another movie for Chad and Linda. They are the weakest and most inane characters in the film. The best reviewers themselves agree with this. I would watch a film that focused on Osbourne and Katie Cox but that's about it. The idea of making Linda Litzke the plot driver doomed this film to obscurity (for all but hard core Coens fans).
I don't disagree that McDormand and Pitt play their characters well. They do. But the characters themselves are plot killers.
Brad Pitt was good along with a lot of the other actors but the film did not gel.

I agree Prism. Something about trying to connect fitness instructors with Federal agency types. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it seemed so labored and too many rules had to be broken to achieve their plot.

I agree. I generally like him in most movies, but he wasn't anywhere near the best part of this film.
