I enjoyed it

SPOILERS

Started off really strong, but the CGI on the tentacles looked incredibly outdated.
The bugs looked good.

Mrs. Carmody was insanely annoying, to the point where I just wanted to laugh at her mockingly every time she opened her mouth. So glad Ollie killed her. William Sadler was weird in this. He had quite a bit of screen time, but he was disappointing for me, and I really like him. Or maybe I'm just not used to see him play a pathetic character.

A few of The Walking Dead cast was in this. It was nice to see them again.

People either found the ending acceptable or hated the ending.
I thought the ending was really good. It really speaks to never give up, despite your consequences. There's always hope and keep moving forward.

All in all, an enjoyable film.

I thought it was a really good film when I saw it at the theater in 2007. I’m not even interested in the genre as a whole but I liked how it captured the human dynamics. I also found it interesting that even though the main character tried to be as rationale as possible when making a decision it often turned out to be the wrong decision. That’s life. The cheap monster special effects didn’t bother me at all.

I enjoyed it too, although I had prefered Beth Grant instead of Marcia Gay Harden. Imho the latter overacted way too much.
