David's son is 9 yrs old and
He acts like a 5yr old girl! Crying and sucking his thumb! I know it's a small community, but really? Are all kids pussies like that in small towns? I don't think so.

shareKids cry. In movies like these, adults cry.
shareHey, I'm 43 and I would have been crying and sucking my thumb in that situation!
shareI think that most children would probably behave like that in that situation and probably most adults including myself.
shareI thought he acted quite mature compared to what I expect it would really be like. The kid in Cujo completely loses his mind and that's how I picture things would be in reality.
shareI took it as another cookie-cutter character acting in ways to push the plot forward, in a movie full of them.
Some kids have more guts than others. Some rise to the occasion, some shrink. Same as adults, but... yes... to me he was annoying.
When this was all over, I think I'd have sent him to a Western summer camp for a bit of character building (not meant sarcastically).
I believe the character was actually 5 in the book. Which would make more sense for why someone needs to be holding him the entire time.
