Why the outrage over Bullocks Oscar win?

I'm not outraged either, but she definitely didn't deserve to win. Her 'accent' comes and goes, and even though it's based on a true story, several of the situations are just so hokey and incredible, that she's just not believable in the role.

As noted on the main page: "During the first couple of weeks of shooting, Bullock thought her acting was so bad she considered dropping out."

She was right, it was bad. Yes, she did win the Oscar, but it's my feeling that she won because she's an established part of the Hollywood establishment and got it for her career, not because she deserved it for her performance.

Of course it's not her fault that every other word out of her mouth is 'Michael", but that alone was enough to peel the enamel off my teeth.

That was not a lowkey performance at all. That accent was overdone like crazy.

An Oscar for Sandra Bullocks? Why not, she was not bad in the movie, but ...

... I would have expected an Oscar for Quinton Aaron, whose performance is really awesome.

I'm with yyou. She did a very good job (so did Lily Collins and everyone else.)

Now some are calling for Sandra Bullock to return the Oscar because of the current controversy. I don't think that's a fair demand since she had no hand in crafting the movie's script and probably did not know of Michael Oher's displeasure.

She's white. White people have been under attack since Occupy Wall Street. It's payback for that..noticing "them." Now those people have used their useful idiot pets to fight back through their control of the media.
