People seem to be confused as to why she killed herself. To me it's obvious, but of course I could be wrong.
She halfed her lifespan TWICE. She was already in her twenties. It's a coincidence that her date ended up being Light's date.
She received two shinigami's lifespans tho, which could mean hundreds of years for what we know.

shareYeah, that's the thing, we don't know how many years those shinigamis had when they gave the rest to her. Her lifespan was up when Gelus saved her, so she did get the rest of his years, then she made the deal for the eyes, cutting that in half. Then she made another deal with Ryuk, then she got the rest of Rem's but if they were the type to only take what they needed for a few years, then she wouldn't have had that much left to her.
Plus, she always said she couldn't live without LIght. Light was dead, so she had no reason to live. I'm not sure that means her lifespan was up though. She may have had more left to her, but maybe not.

What? It clearly states somewhere that when a shinigami kills a person, that person's lifespan adds to the shinigami, not the other way around. Edit: I stand corrected... It does say that...
Yeah, if the shinigami kills someone to save someone who's time was up (or going to die), then that shinigami dies and the person they saved gets the remaining time. Bogh Gelus and Rem killed someone to save her and they both died, so she got both their remaining years.

Light was using Misa but Misa believed Light loved her. They were engaged when he died. She was basicicly addictied to him. She quit her modeling to be with him. Without him, she had nothing left and killed herself
I agree. We must remember that she is used to make extreme actions. She started killing people just to get Kira´s attention. And she did that just out of gratitude. Imagine what she would not do out of love.
