This show is so unbelievably good!

I rewatched (binge) this show over the last week, and I have to say it's simply one of the best, if not the single best show I have ever watched. It was thrilling all the way trough, and it has a lot of variation, it doesn't get stalled at any point. I really like after L dies also, even tough many people think it gets worse, I think his death was so amazing, and the following episodes were so different, but still intense, that was really fresh.

I think I enjoyed it better this time than the time before. The first time I was younger, and also took a way longer time to go trough the episodes, which stopped me from understand it fully. Now, I can't stop giving praise to it. The bad part is that it makes many other shows so bad...

I agree completely.

I just discovered this show today while surfing through Netflix. I've only watched the first two episodes so far, but I'm already hooked.

I did the same thing my friend. I wanna say it was three months ago the first time I watched the series (I finished it three days after starting). I was just surfing through Netflix and I saw Death Note. I had heard of it before but knew nothing about it. I was bored so I was like why not. One of the best decisions I ever made. I only watched five episodes and already thought it was the best anime I had ever seen. Polak, try not to surf through too many forums or even Google search the series until you finish it. It would really, really suck if something were to be spoiled for you. If someone tells you to stop watching after a certain point, don't listen to them. The whole series is good. A lot of people just get butthurt that something happens that they don't like. The last episode has one of the best payoffs ever. Just keep an open mind and enjoy. :) You won't find another experience like this one.

Yeah, I've learned long ago to avoid forums of shows I'm currently watching. Sometimes, that's not even enough to avoid spoilers now and then. Facebook has been pretty bad lately. Thankfully, Death Note's fanbase isn't nearly as big as Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy or Walking Dead, so I was able to avoid any major spoilers.

Anyway, I finished this up a few weeks ago and I agree, it was a great experience. I don't know much about anime, the only others shows I've seen in their entirety are Psycho Pass and High School of The Dead, but this is by far the best of them. If I can ever find them online, I plan to check out the live action versions to see how they stand up.
