I bought the whole DVD set from amazon.

Why don't you subscribe to Amazon Prime. You get free Amazon Video service, which has all the Lewis titles except the final season out this fall. You pay like on Netflix, but you can also buy extra titles. You also get free 2 day shipping on all Amazon product purchases, books, appliances...you name it. Amazon Music is also included which has a bunch of free titles, and some you can buy also, like iTunes.

Amazon also has Endeavour, a prequel to Morse which is a nice period piece. Inspector Gently also a nice period piece, and a Touch of Frost, who is a UK detective much like the unkempt seemingly bumbling US copper Colombo. Vera is on Amazon now too, thanks to their affiliation with Accorn, as an add on subscription

Sorry, this sounds like a commercial fo Amazon, which it's not.....they just have a lot of UK copper shows for streaming that Netflix doesn't. And when they do have the same content, Amazon/Acorn have it first, like Foyles war.

Finally, they provide Scandanavian and other European copper shows, Broen (The Bridge in English) a Swedish copper show, which is excellent, the original Swedish Wallander shows, which are much better than the UK adaptation, and Beck, a German copper show that grows on you.
