Rank Gainsbourg's Performances with von Trier

One of the best things I've found about von Trier's last three films is he "adopting" Charlotte Gainsbourg as his current muse. Of all of his leading ladies, I find her performances under his direction to be the most fascinating, shocking, tragic and - even - empathetic. So I was curious to see how other von Trier fans would rank her three performances with him.

1. Joe, "Nymph()maniac"
2. "She," "Antichrist"
3. Claire, "Melancholia"

2. Claire - Melancholia
2. Joe - Nymphomaniac

I thought Claire and She were the most thought provoking roles.

For me Kristen Dust was the one who totally killed it in that movie!

I also really have enjoyed watching Charlotte's performances under LVT. She's perfect. She's great to watch on screen, I love her voice, and he brings out the best in her versatility. She delivers on every scene and gets so much emotion, raw emotion across with her face, body and voice. She's simply brilliant, and I hope he utilizes her more, as well as Willem Dafoe. They worked very well together, good chemistry. Charlotte always delivers!!
