I'm still totally confused about HE and the ending of third act

There are random blips and blurs in the filming, almost like waves, I believe to help convey a confusion and surreal atmosphere, and maybe even inflections of madness.

There comes a moment before the roles of aggressor seem to transpose, where HE sort of stops in tracks, gets this sudden look on his face, like a brand new realization, that some new knowledge got dropped into his head, a new awareness.

And his eyes changed. His countenance changed. His movements and his sense of purpose changed. Did anyone else notice that? From that point, I honestly cannot keep up with what followed and am confused by much of that ending. The ending mooshed together quickly (after a typically long and drawn out detailed and over explained typical LVT movie beginning),...

Anyone catch me up or have some take on this turning point and that moment of recognition?
