Frank Langella's accent

Too European.

He wasn't able to pull off nixon's dilect.

Way too elegant.

At first, I thought the same thing. Yet, midway through the movie, I thought he really had Nixon down (that strange cadence of Nixon's speech and his strange use of certain terms-Nixon almost seemed uneasy talking as if he could never find the words). So, in the end, I thought it was well done. Maybe, it just took some getting used to on my part. And, Langella added a humanity to Nixon. He did a fantastic acting job.

I lived through Nixon in my teenage and young adult years, and Langella nailed it.

Don't get me wrong. Langella was good in the world of "Frost/Nixon" but i still think his accent shines through his attempt at Nixon's dialect.

I agree... I enjoyed Frank Langella's performance on its own, but having just watched some of the original Frost/Nixon interview footage, I don't think Langella sounded too much like Nixon...

Indeed, I thought his performance was a parody or something.
