The whole series?

I just started watching this show and it is funny, but I almost can't handle how big of an *beep* he is after watching the first 4 episodes. Is he like this the whole series or does he start to get better?

He definitely changes, but I wouldn't say he ever changed entirely. You find more and more as you watch that, while he is a prick, he is also a pretty decent guy who has good intentions most of the time, he just has difficulty reconciling what he knows is right with his natural tendency to be a douche.

Thanks for the response. Maybe I'll stick with it a little bit more then if he gets better. The show was still funny but he was starting to get irritating.

Well, you're not really meant to like him as a person. Much of the humor is derived from how obnoxious he is.

He never changes, but there's always moments where you see a better side to him. Can't really say too much though without spoiling anything.

I just binge-watched the entire series, my first time watching it. Eastbound & Down is an angrier version of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, set in baseball instead of music. The Kenny Powers character plays like it was lifted almost exactly from Dewey Cox, especially when giving his 'revelation' speeches.

It was an ok series, but not a watch more than once one.
