Some of the names... very transparent!

I haven't read the book and don't know if it's any good (it's gotten mixed reviews - would you recommend it?), but I just can't help laughing at the names of some of the characters. PRUDIE for the prude girl? Not to mention ALLEGRA, which means "gay and jaunty". Yes, gay as in happy, but still. The other names are less specific, but if you can think of any other obvious ones please contribute. I just thought these two were so overly specific.

I loved the movie though. :)

After I saw the movie, it made reading the book easier because I could picture the characters. The book is all right, but IMO not as good as the movie.

I was thinking that Grigg works with your theory, because I've looked for the meaning of it and I can't seem to find anything, making me think the author made it up. Grigg was constantly misinterpreted by Josselyn she was never really sure what he meant and couldn't really pin down who he was exactly (until his sister came). Stretching it a bit but I think it works somewhat

I guess, but it doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the book or the movie at all. In fact I wouldn't think too much about it, even if it was intentional on the author's part. Also I would definitely recommend the book. I personally liked it better than the movie, but the movie is a very faithful adaptation of it and almost exactly how I pictured it. If you liked the movie I'm pretty sure you'll like the book.

I only do it with superheroes.
