Favourite Character

Favouriter Character?
Which one are you most like ?

I have to say in all honesty my favourite character is Prudie because of how she evolves from this uptight annoying girl who doesn't understand her husband to a more emotionally stable woman who is happy with who she is and who takes action to rectify what's gone wrong in her realtionship.

I think I'm most like Sylvia in terms of that I am quite quiet and bookish. Although I can also see elements Allegra and Bernadette as they are both somewhat free spirits.

i would have to say that my favorite character was definatly silvia. i loved how she evolved and though i absolutly adore maria bello and only watched the movie because she was in it, but amy brenneman was amazing
prudie annoyed me at first, though i grew to love her as the movie progressed

i think that i relate most to both allegra and grigg. im incredibly carefree and a definate daredevil though i always do everything i can to please people, especially the ones i love

Definitely Bernadette - she's funny, witty, very talkative (like me!!!!) and looks out for people. She always wants to help (e.g. doing bookclub for Prudie and Sylvie) and knows everything that's going on with her friends. I also caught an impression that she wanted to help Sylvia's relationship with her husband? - she was dropping hints to Daniel at the beach about a well written letter. She was also the only one who could tell that Jocelyn was jealous of Grigg and Sylvia's relationship.

I liked Grigg and Bernadette the most. They both were very down-to-earth and seemed like nice, fun people.

Grigg my favorite I am now on a hunt for my very own Grigg thats the kind of man I need. these morons walking our planet claiming to be men belong on another planet called the loser planet...

Definitely Grigg! He was so darn sunshine-y and likeable and his geekiness made him even cuter than he already is. At the first club meeting, I couldn't stop smiling because of him. I'd love to meet someone exactly like him.

I like this thread :)

I'm drawn to Prudie ('s elegiac tone) mostly because I love Emily Blunt as an actor. Aside from that I empathize with her.

I like all of the characters really.

I love, love Grigg. He's adorable.

I think I might be most like Jocelyn. She annoys me a little with her whining and incessant self-pitying, but I'm far, far from flawless myself. She walks a line between what she ought to do and what she wants and ends up confusing herself. Yep, I think I'm sort of like that.

Are you watching closely?

From the book, I adore Bernadette. Her way of telling stories and her rambling way of saying the same thing three different ways is just endearing. From the movie, my favorite is Prudie. Emily Blunt's reactions to the other characters in the initial meeting at Starbucks is hilarious.

I don't know who I am most like--probably Bernadette because I also have a habit of repeating myself and telling long-winded stories that once I finish them, I have almost forgotten the point of the story.

Definitely Prudie. She did the moral thing in the end.

My favourite character is Allegra, but I also enjoyed Bernadette, cause she is so free-spirited, always in a good mood and making her friends smile.. and I liked what Prudie did in the end, I think she did the right thing. Also, is always a pleasure to watch Emily Blunt on screen!
