yuup! This movie reaaally wants to make me re-read all the Austens and just have a really great open minded conversations.
shareI would definitely love to do a Jane Austen book club. :)
shareSo would I! I'm definitely going to reread a couple of Jane Austen books.
It would be hard in real life to put together a club like this.

I always have a hard time trying to find new things to read...it would be great to have a group of people who could say "This is something to read." And after suffering through Anna Karenina, I do not take that kind of advice from Oprah...

yes! I would LOVE a club like this. Not just for the Jane Austen (which is great), but if it could just be me...and Hugh ;) haha love him
shareMe too. Great idea!! It makes me wanna read all the Jane Austen books. How about we start a Jane Austen book club on imdb?
shareI am one of those fortunate ladies who is in a book club like this one.
It isn't Jane Austen books, but a variety of books that suits our group. We meet once a week.
I've been doing this for nearly 10 years. Yep. TEN YEARS.
Members come and go, but the core group remains the same.
It's a journey, actually. While reading the books we each learn something about ourselves and share those discoveries with our group.
I wouldn't trade my small group for anything. It's a real blessing.
i don't think this idea would go over well with my book club but i am going to tell them about the movie. i thought it was adorable.
i am also going to try to read the books (in order).
i once attempted pride and prejudice and couldn't get into it.
i'm proud to admit to never have watched a "reality" tv program!share

It's not a book club, but I've been a writers' group with my daughter for 20 years, and when we saw this movie, she exclaimed "It's the Uff Das!" (our group is "Uff Da Cum Laude"). Our group has five women and one man, about the ages of the people in the movie, including one mother-daughter pair and one older woman. My daughter and I love watching this movie together :-)
