Genious... the simplicity of the concept... "Grab this grenade. If you fall asleep again, you blow up everybody." They should use this in my college.

shareHaha, the problem is that I doubt anyone in class would be able to focus on what they were teaching, so nobody would learn anything at all, except not to sleep in class. :D
shareIn the context of survival training, the grenade WAS the lesson. The overnight classes served the overt teaching purpose and trained them them to keep themselves alert when they were fatigued and sleepy. Sleeping in a marked car or at your post can get you killed or worse out in the field. It was a hanging offense to sleep on duty in many military's not that long ago.
