So, how many votes left to Top 250?

I mean, 8.0 from 20k voters. Film #249 [currently 'Primavera, Verão, Outono, Inverno... E Primavera'] is rated 8.0 also, but from 18k votes. I've seen a lot of epic movies are rated 8.0, like 'Uma Mente Brilhante' (129k) or 'Cassino Royale' (176k) rated (hell dead) 8.0 -- a specific rating for this kind of movie: epic) and I wonder why they lose to such unknown movies like those at the bottom of Top 250 [including a South Korean one without Portuguese or English title]. And at the bottom of the chart, we are presented to a 'Bayesian estimate':

WR = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C
in
8 = 20.597 ÷ (20.597 + 3000) × 8 + (3000 ÷ (20597+3000)) × 6.9

Badly calculated making less possible noise at 00:32, so late at night using Windows Calculator, results in 49,01015874... What that means? And this movie can be at Top 250 someday? YAY another motherland's movie at Top 250 =D

dude, just ignore the top 250. It has only one rule: if it isn't american, than it doesn't deserve to be there. Simple as that (except for a few exceptions that confirm the rule). Look at Tropa de Elite 2, for example. the movie has a 8.5 rating but still isn't in the list. Hard to explain...

meh, i'd hope that it wouldn't be in the top 250, just because it really wasn't that good.

then again, i think there are a lot of turds in that list, anyway.
