I mean, even when all their abuse is portrayed in a comical manner in the series, they are still horrible and mean characters who treat their son as garbage for no reason. And the worst part is that they never receive any form of punishment. I really wish that, at least in one episode, they got some kind of comeuppance.

Agreed. Maybe there could be one where Perry steps in and makes her realize something truly great her son was able to accomplish...a Mother's Day invention perhaps. Perry and Doofenshmirtz do seem to have each other's back as Dr D fought to ensure the Platypus Hunter didnt get Perry and Perry has saved Dr D many times as well.
As they no longer show Doofenshmirtz's father, I think Father Time settled things with him.
