The peppy/50s Doo Wop song in "My Sweet Ride" reminds us of an actual song from the old days but we can't put our finger on it - do any of you recognize the melody/beat?

I dont know but it is sure awesome. i keep seeing things about a reference to Grease. I never saw it or heard it before but that that is probably where their inspiration for this episode came from or the song at least.
shareI haven't seen "Grease" but the song sounded a little like Sha Na Na to me (not a specific song of theirs but a 'sound') but it also reminds me of a classic 50s song that's always just on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember, it's very frustrating! :(
