104 days of summer vacation??

I live in Canada and school is out in July and August. I am pretty sure the USA is close to the same.

In my area school let out this year the last week of May and goes back in session either the 3rd or 4th week of August. So that means roughly 12 weeks of summer vacation. I'm fairly sure that when I was a kid it was longer.

104 days does seem I little long, but I always assumed they were counting it from the Friday before Memorial Day (last Monday of May) to the day after Labor Day (first Monday of September) which has been a more traditional and general definition of when summer vacation is.

We usually have second to last Thursday of May until second thursday of August. Last year it ended June 1st because of 10/3 snow days. This year, we have until Wednesday because of the new balanced calendar.

Here in Arizona the public schools run till the last week of May and start the first week of August. Around 70 days. So Phineas and Ferbs 104 days is only about a month longer putting their start date in the middle of September. Not entirely unheard of especially those schools that get out super late.

In college we get out the beginning of May and go back towards the end of August, more like a Phineas and Ferb summer vacation.

Granted it has been some years since I've been in grade school, but when I was in elementary school, middle school, and high school, we got out in late May and started again in late August. A little more than 3 months. 104 days is about 3 months and 2 weeks, which doesn't seem at all unheard of.

When I was an undergraduate in college, we got out late April/early May and went back mid-late August. It was about the same amount of time, maybe a little longer.

They build gigantic working models of anything & everything in a matter of minutes. They've had a stadium show in their back yard and they were singing about the tip of a shoelace! They made a beach in their backyard! They've been to the moon and back multiple times! Not to hard to accept that they have 104 days of summer vacation!

Just for the record, I'm not a Dude, I'm a Dudette!

I counted with my son once because of this show in the south including weekends it's 74 days.

Yeah, I was trying to figure that out myself. The calendar at the start of the credits shows June 3. 104 days later is mid-September. They must have a shorter school year, cause I had 180 days, and so does my daughter. Our school years start the day after Labor Day and end in mid-June. (I grew up in Connecticut and my daughter is in Massachusetts.)
