I forget about the birth mark
We see a short towards the end of Louise's skirt hemline and her legs I don't recall seeing a birthmark but I wasn't looking for one. Was that shot done for the reason of ID for the audience?

It definitely is not a spoiler. A spoiler would be to reveal something which tells the reader what happens in the end or gives the plot away at some point. There is no spoiler in mentioning the birth mark. I have not revealed anything. Others post have agreed already that the ending is left ambiguous and also mentioned the birth mark, so put your spoiler tag on them. You should have noticed it was shown at the beginning, it was pointed out very clearly and was a clue.
All anyone has got to do is keep that clue in mind which I didn't due to the pedestrian pace and a slip in concentration.
