Is jimmy dead

I don't think this is right at all, its one thing to cancel a great show (very questionable reasons behind it) but its even more cruel to end the show without even giving the viewers any closure, we have no idea if jimmy wierdon is dead or not, the scene faded out after he got shot and that was it, at least make a finale episode to conclude things.People that love the show have been waiting for 3 whole years in suspense without a clue if he died or not that just not right.I looked through all the posts here and saw no question about this am I the only one confused or what. (very frustrated)

Yes, Jimmy dies at the end. The title of the last episode is a clue "We Were Here Now We Disappear." In the SUV, Jimmy tells Bob "things are going to change around here" and then he passes the torch to Bob by asking him to take over. Then Altmann tells Mary to let Riordan know there won't be anymore blood shed, but he smirks when he hangs up, cause he knows the hit squad is coming. Next clue, we learn Sweet lost her baby, so death is in the air in front of the Chickadee. Right after Jimmy takes 4 shots we get scenes of the city to show life goes on as usual. Then Mary calls and tells him he can "Rest easy," (RIP)
Lastly, we get the zoom in on the watch to show his time on earth is ticking away, fade out, he's dead. A great way to end.

I must agree. Why did the producers do that? This is a great show. Im kinda mad that Jimmy was shot and I know nothing about what happened. I watch it all the time. I hope it comes back on the air.
PS, He should have worn the vest. Or Maybe he did.
Thanks,

In an interview not long after the show was canceled, Ian Tracey said that Jimmy survives. Keep in mind that the show wasn't renewed or canceled at the time they filmed the season finale, so if it had been renewed, Jimmy would have come back, just as he survived an apparently impossible cliffhanger at the end of season one. Since it wasn't, you're left to make up your mind.

If it makes you feel better, Chris Haddock does like to do two-hour movie wrap-ups/continuations when he can. So, who knows? We might get one of those someday.

I think that despite the show cancelling around the time getting Jimmy gunned down being a coincidence, we can still write it off as an actual character death because realistically, people who live that life always die and in a gruesome manner.
Also, for qualities sake, I'm tired of shows (here in the US) being so successful that 8 seasons are added to it just to keep people glued all the while loosing the realistic integrity of the story. So for me, this show (Intelligence) ended fine.

I got in on the tail end of another Canadian series called "North of 60" about a band (tribe) of Indians. It was cancelled after a few seasons and no amount of arguing can get even re runs on the air. Here is the weird thing. It had a dedicated fan base because many of the Native American cast were well known actors like Adam Beach and Graham Greene.

After the series was cancelled there were three tv movies of the week with the same cast. You can't buy these on dvd nor are they rebroadcast. I watched one on google cut up into 15 minute chunks.

There is no way the stupidity of tv executives can be under estimated.

Intelligence could have come back with a tv movie of the week instead of being cancelled leaving dangling story lines.
