The one where Dougie gets shot by the guys they assaulted in the apartment.

Nah it’s way better that he gets away. That ending would’ve been just like Carlito’s Way.

I saw both the theatrical cut and the longer version with the Alternate Ending of The Town.
I preferred the extended version of The Town with the Alternate Ending in which Doug MacRay gets assaulted, shot, and killed by the guys that he and Jem assaulted and injured in their apartment, because it provided more closure, and it made clear the fact that crime doesn't pay.

That's a very good outlook towards the extended version with the Alternating Ending of The Town.
It was more real, and there was more closure.
