OH! Yippie! Hoo-rah! A third movie! Yup, one more of these and I'll be ready to finally take that leap off the top of the Empire State Building!
Aside from not wanting to live in a world that loves this simplistic, unfunny, juvenile, boring, dreck, the idea that Steve Martin, who was last funny in 1974, is making a fortune by spitting on the legacies of some of the greatest geniuses of film...
The only drawback to another Martin "Pink Panther" would be the delay in our enjoyment of Martin's future roles, like, Chaplin in "City Lights," Olivier as Heathcliff in "Wuthering Heights," Yuri in "Dr. Zhivago," and O'Toole in "Becket."
But the project I look forward to the most would be Martin's greatest role: (drumroll)
STEVE MARTIN
as
STEVE MARTIN
Yes, the egomaniacal narcissist portrays himself, the greatest character ever to live! What an acheivement! Glorious!
Taxi! 34th and Fifth, and step on it!
