Too Bad It's Flopping

I love all the Pink Panther films (although "Trail", "Curse", and "Son" not so much), even the Steve Martin films. And when I saw the 2006 movie, I was really hoping Steve Martin could usher in a new era for the franchise.

PP2 (which should really be PP11) was good, but I didn't like it as much. Since it was a pretty decent sequel (IM0), I'll definitely be buying the DVD. But since the movie's getting pretty beaten up by the critics and at the box office, it will probably be the last film that completes my Pink Panther collection before the franchise fades into obscurity once again (all through high school I kept having to insist to my classmates that the Pink Panther was originally a diamond and not the cartoon panther!)

I was really hoping Martin could do a few of these, but I have to admit that PP2 doesn't have as much potential for a sequel as the previous film did. Even if they did a PP3 (which I would like to think would have a better title), I don't know where they'd go from here. All the same, I was really hoping this film would do well.

I hope worldwide box office will be excellent. I would like this to continue.
