No More 'Pink Panther' Movies

Director Shawn Levy revealed to MTV News that there will likely not be any more "Pink Panther" installments because of the sequel's poor box office results.

"I think we've likely seen the end of this iteration of the 'Pink Panther' films," he said. "Obviously, the sequel did not strike the chord that the first movie did."

The first "Pink Panther" film grossed $82 million domestically, barely earning back its $80 million budget. The sequel took in only $36 million, and both movies were panned by critics.

"There are theories as to why this one wasn't a hit," Levy continued. "Sometimes, that's just how the cards fall."

For some reason Levy can't pinpoint the problem with the franchise. Can anyone help him understand why it failed?

Oh well, the Inspector getting married is a happy enough ending for the series.

Why it failed?
WHY IT FAILED???

Becase when people hear "PINK PANTHER" as the name of a movie, they expect PETER SELLERS in it. What does it matter if hes dead? HE IS CLOUSEAU.
STEVE MARTIN IS -NOT- CLOUSEAU!!!!!!!!!
