question...? in the first pink panther movie with steve martin - the pink panther is on a ring and Xania is the one who recieves it in the end and is able to keep it - fast forward to the newest movie - i couldn't help but notice that a) obviously the pink panther is in a museum & b) it is quite a bit larger & c) not on a ring.

i was thinking that maybe Xania donated it to the museum - but i don't think you can make a diamond bigger.

also - the fake diamond that cluseau recieves in honor for finding it the first time is from the president of france - really he had nothing to do with it in the first place - and it's not like it WAS a french artifact or SO important to the people of france - it belonged to the family of that soccer dude in the first movie. unless they were part of the presidents family...but i highly doubt that.

all in all - i bet you can tell that i am confused. :P

Kind of feels like this ignores many events of the last movie because what's her face didn't return. Either that or there's actually supposed to be two pink panther diamonds. But that's too far fetched.

Yes it does contradict the first movie in ways but I still saw the diamond the same size as the original though from the first movie.

If you remember in the first one the diamond was the same size though as it is in the sequel. Well that is how they wrote the movie. It was not intended I do not think to go along with the first movie to be honest with you though.
