Steve Martin a has been!

If Steve Martin is not a has-been then why does he act like it in this film. He was unfunny all the way through. Everything about him was weak. His French accent being bad and irritating took away exactly on of the most exquisite sides of the original Pink Panther character, thus making him a caricature instead of interesting and funny to watch.

It was a very bad idea for him to play this role. Arrogant of him to think that he could fill the shoes of Peter Sellers. Acting like a French clown does NOT make one into Inspector Clouseau!!

Major Fail Steve... Booooo !! :((

Steve Martin rocks! So Peter Sellers should be honored.

What's with those French? They seem to have a different word for everything!

I wouldn't go that far...Martin is a very talented writer, actor and dorector. But broad, physical comedy is not his forte (pretty evident in this film by the amount of doubling for the more extreme stunts).

I just regret that he chooses such material, although to be frank John Cleese's take of Dreyfus was more than a little disappointing, whilst all about were indulging in "zee French ack-sent" his performance was the usual pop-eyed, uptight Surbiton bank manager character that he seems to fall back on these days.

Wasted talents.

Don't touch that!
Why Not?
It does very bad things...
