Why the hell is John Cleese in this as a supporting character?

This film is the epitome of how the movie business is going, quantity over quality.

Steve Martin is a funny guy, but he is robbing peter to pay paul, he is continually whining about "not playing it sellers like.", it's not about playing it sellers-like, it's about what's best for the film, and Steve Martin is NOT!

This guy is becoming a serial franchise fooker!, he is making HIS stamp on all already established characters, does that not come across kind of audacious to you?

and for another note.

I can't believe that John Cleese accepted a part in this, he would have done the character far more justice than that silver haired plank has. Cleese is by far the superior comedian, he achieved more than martin on the stage and in my opinion he is the better comedy actor.

I'm watching it now and all I want to do is gouge my eyes out with my penis.

Steve Martin should just pork his own arse, he would be much better.
