Alex from Desire shows up on Watch Over Me

Issac was watching Alex's cooking show in tonight's episode. Issac and Eric's g/f even have a detailed conversation about the show. Even the clip where Alex takes his shirt over to stop a fire is shown. I guess the Desire and Watch Over Me exists in the same soap universe.

You beat me to it!!! Was in the midst on logging on while the scene was taking place.

The DESIRE writers went over to WOM, so I guess that explains that scene.

yeah, I knew they went over to WOM. So I guess that would explain it. It was kind of weird seeing the scene in tonight's episode. I think it was also part of the "When writers run out of ideas" syndrome lol. But I did find the exchange amusing between Issac and Eric's g/f.

Yeah, LOL. As a DESIRE fan, I found that scene amusing. Wonder the reaction for WOM viewers who are not "familiar" with DESIRE.

Hey, dmreach99, so you got to see our boy Alex on WOM. Do you know what's weird? When Issac was talking about how it was a cooking show that he liked to watch, for some strange reason I thought that he was watching Alex & boom there was Alex. I think that it's clever how they put Alex in this. How are you liking the 2 new shows? I couldn't get into Wicked Wicked Games, but I like Watch Over Me.

Hi b73142, my Fellow Poster from our "DESIRE" days.

Hope All Is Well With You! Good to hear from you.

"think that it's clever how they put Alex in this."

Yes, it was clever of them and well done!

I enjoyed that scene with the Alex cooking show. It was amusing and a "special" something extra from the Desire/WOM Writers to "US" fans of DESIRE--very thoughtful of them.

BUT, as You would know "from memory", if they want to "Make My Day" give me some "LOUIS THOMAS" scenes--THAT's how they can make my day--enjoyed that scene just the same.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Knew I would be checkin' out WWGames(was "ify" re:WOM) because of the Previews with Tatum O'Neal--she made the show "seem" like it would be interesting. So I tuned in expecting to see Tatum's BLYTHE Hunter be Evil/Crazy, but I'm spending my WWGames' time with Kleenex close by to wipe away "Tears" from LOL at Blythe's antics--For Me, she's a not so nice Lucy(I Love Lucy)--She's Hilarious!!!
My fan/support of Blythe Hunter is like Louis Thomas(DESIRE)--where others are lining up to HATE THEM, they are 1 of the few characters on the show I DON'T hate and Then, become MY Favorite character.
BTW: b73142, Saints & Sinners will have Gregg Strouse(Cully), Joe Tabanella(Marco) appearing. I personally would have LOVED a TRIFECTA with Nate Haden(Louis) along with Cully and Marco.
b73142, to share my take on the 4 novelas in order of my Enjoyment of Them: DESIRE, WWGames, WOM, FH(no interest there).
Best and Kindest Regards,
I was surprised to see that Issac had an interest in cooking. For when he previously stayed at Eric's all he wanted was canned soup.
Regarding the time lines - I thought that "Watch Over Me" was "current / contemporary" but that scene from "Desire" happened several months ago.
"Twilight Zone" time! ;-)))
I was surprised Issac had an interest in cooking too. You would figure a tough guy henchman like him wouldn't.
I thought it was a clever idea to bring sexy Alex's cooking show into the WOM story. I'd love to see him in another telenovela again. He was one of my favorites. And notice the scene they decided to show. Throw a little humor into the mix was great!
reply
Yeah, I thought the mix was great. The exchange was humorous (especially when they were talking about cooking recipes). I think it also showed another side to Issac. Kind of like there was another side to Cully on Desire when he let down his guard and started buddying up to Louis.
Something is in the works.
Considering that we are reaching the end of MyNetworkTV's daily telenovela experiment, this is a nice tip of the hat to those of us who were watching all season. Hey, it was nice while it lasted!
reply
Well I can now safely say that if you weren't already, make sure you watch the final episode...all the way to the end.
By the way, even though the new shows won't be on daily, they are otherwise still the same telenovela concept as the last 4.
reply
OH NO they DIDN'T (the WRITERS) Andre in a Jail Cell Across from Alex!!!
LOL HAHAHAHAH I'm Glad You Caught Onto That LOL...
